    RobertE - now the Action Pack Im not too familiar with but from what I know, its license terms allow internal (production) usage whereas a Technet subscription wont allow this in its license terms. Its value is geared for learning and support and provides for additional support and training resources over and above the software itself.

    Looks like ozbargain might have beaten you to it. :) Is there somewhere I can go to find out what I am legally allowed to do with the software (not 'what I can get away with', but 'what am I allowed to do according to Microsoft')? For example:

  • Can I use the software after the subscription period finishes?

  • Can I install the software on multiple PCs?

  • Can I install the software (eg Office) and use it all the time (rather than just for evaluation)?

    Thats Great news Michael, I am going to get this for my team and perfect timing before the end of the financial year! :) However, when I visit the technetplus site, its not really clear how to "subscribe" it seems I need to contact a call centre as Australia isnt on the drop down list btw, do those steak knives cut through shoes?

    How does a technet subscription compare to an Action Pack subscription. It sounds very similar but I think the action pack can be used for internal use, not just evaluation. Rob :)

    Hi Michael, Unfortunately TNPlus does not give you the ability to download ISO's of Service Packs, etc. When I subscribed last year I was told that you could download an ISO of any disk that would be mailed to "full" subscribers. After many e-mails back and forth with the TechNet Oz crew, I found out that this was not the case. Also, you mention "Theres technical training CD's that you can download as part of the subscription..." I can't find anyplace to download the CD's...only bits of pieces of individuals training sessions. Cheers, Tim
