Predictions from the Past
Since I'm on holiday you may notice that I have been blogging more about fun or off beat topics. Well I'm in full relaxation mode. So sit back and enjoy :). I was sitting here talking with a good friend of mine about technology and the subject of "do you remember..." came up. Like when you could replace and re-solder chips on a 286 motherboard without too much worry or when 50mb hard drive was top notch.
I dug up some quotes that I laugh at every-time I read them. Enjoy!
"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers."
-- Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, 1943
"There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home."
-- Ken Olson, chairman of DEC, 1977
"640K ought to be enough memory for anybody."
-- Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft, 1981
