Some Reflections on PDC 2008 - Must Watch Sessions (Day 4)
No keynote today so straight into the breakout action...
TL36 Microsoft .NET Framework: Declarative Programming Using XAML
- Meant to be a very good session on what you'll be able to do direct from XAML in the future
PC49 Microsoft .NET Framework: CLR Futures
- Good session on CLR Futures and a bit about enabling of some current features
PC05 Windows 7: Unlocking the GPU with Direct3D
- This session was in a foreign language as far as I was concerned but there were some cool 3D models of frogs and things
TL11 An Introduction to Microsoft F#
- Great session, great presenter.
Now I have nothing to say these sessions are good as I wasn't there and I have no specific feedback but knowing the people and the subject matter, I'm going to be watching both of them:
PC07 WPF: Extensible BitmapEffects, Pixel Shaders, and WPF Graphics Futures
And because I'm interested in Virtual Earth I'll also be watching this one:
BB10 Live Services: Deep Dive on Microsoft Virtual Earth

Mike, The session on design by contract and Pex that took place on day 4 was very good: TL51 Contract Checking and Automated Test Generation with Pex
