Cascading Lookups in Microsoft CRM

One of my most frequest asks of the CRM Product Development team is cascading lookups. So if I select an account, only show me the contacts assoicated with that account. Or one I just did last week, was only show me the vehicles related a contact. (I wish Philip would quit playing with his Zune and build this into the product's future releases...)

This piece of code is unsupported it looks like from the documentation, but I have had no issues with it at all in my demo enviroment. It is around 300 or so for the code, which does not need any additional client licenses. Pretty slick.

    I haven't tried the addon, but is there any difference with the solution as posted here: http://ronaldlemmen.blogspot.com/2006/12/filter-data-in-crm-lookup-field.html ? Except for the 300 dollar difference, because thats for free... Ronald

    Hi Ronald, At the time I developed this solution, I didn't know about the solution Nergock found (sorry Nergock, I couldn't find your real name, so I'm using your newsgroup alias), and I guess noone did. Anyway there are a lot of features in the product that go far beyond filtering. Though it was and still is the main feature, you should take your time to read all of the release notes. Personally I think that the solution posted by Nergock is great. What I don't like is the fact that some people start to point at me saying "look, that guy is trying to make a lot of money with two lines of code". Trust me, the code base is much bigger than that and all of you should know that 300 bucks isn't that much for a server license. Again, I didn't create it to make money. I don't even own the code. I made it available at a low price to solve a well-known issue. That's done and I have a lot of success stories. To answer your initial question: is there a difference to the solution posted by Nergock? Yes, there is a big difference. And I really encourage everyone to try the current version before making an assessment. Cheers, Michael

    Can you please explain me the working of the custom lookup. I need to develop a generalized custom lookup that can work with any entity. Please let me know how to go about this? Please do the needful as it is required very urgently. Many thanks in advance.
