it’s learning Adopts Microsoft Platform for Cloud Educational Services

Some really great news just in from Europe – this week Microsoft and it’s learning , an international learning platform provider based in Norway, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to transform teaching methods and advance next-generation learning.

We are excited at the prospect of this new relationship to help many educational institutions utilize the benefits of cloud services while reducing costs and enabling new, optimized teaching and learning. The alliance between Microsoft and it’s learning is based on our joint aspirations to harness the power of information technology to provide a better learning experience for educators and students.

We believe that together with it’s learning’s education platform, our information technology tools can help educators make learning more engaging for students; help them to provide relevant, exciting curricula; and enable them to draw on great materials from resources around the world. For students, our services will help provide a high-quality education that will give them the opportunities to develop the skills they need to succeed in today’s rapidly-changing world.

Under the agreement it’s learning will integrate Outlook Live, SharePoint Online and the integration of the Office Web Applications into the their education platform. This is great news for Microsoft as it’s learning are a leading learning platform worldwide with over 2 million users in primary and secondary schools, as well as higher education, in the United States, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain.

it’s learning will adopt Microsoft cloud services to develop a fully cloud-based offering to the education sector. This means it’s learning can now deliver the best suite of online communication tools and resources for teachers and students to improve productivity and collaboration through the web. They will be able to securely upload, easily share, and collaborate on Office documents from anywhere with Internet access, including mobile devices, making it possible to create new knowledge and add to their existing knowledge base.

it’s learning has decided to integrate the Microsoft cloud services for their future customers for several reasons. Firstly, students and teachers are familiar with our high-quality communications products and know those products will keep up with their changing needs. Secondly, Microsoft is the best partner for it’s learning, because we are an enterprise company which has experience with large organizations and we have a strong heritage in working with local authorities and school districts.

We’re looking forward to working with it’s learning to develop our partnership and ensure that we combine the strengths of both companies’ assets to provide education institutions with specific solutions to help them realize the potential of their students.
