What do you say when you store a TV show on your hard drive in Media Center

I was just having a discussion with a PM on this, what's the verb you use when you store a TV show using Media Center?

Is it “recorded” - I recorded a show?

Is it “taped” - I taped a show?

It's not tivo'd - I Tivo'd a show?

Or something else?

I tend to use record, but I'm curious to see what terms people use

Does anyone say that they “Media Center” a show?

I would use "recorded," personally. It seems like a fairly technology- and brand-neutral term.

I also say "recorded." Most people I know that have their own PVR or PVR-like device always use the "tivo" term.

I spoke to a friend in the MPAA and he said "Pirated" is the word they use.

I'd use the term "saved". Afterall, it IS stored in a file, eh?

I agree with Steve. "Saved" seems the most natural to me.

I tend to use either "recorded", "saved" or "stored". Never really used a normal video recorder so I suppose I don't have the "taped" term previously associated with recording tv programs.

Digitized or Encoded - that's what I think of when taking analog video and putting it on a harddrive.
