MAP Toolkit 9.2 Now Available!

MAP Toolkit 9.2 Now Available!

We are pleased to announce the availability of version 9.2 of the Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit. This release of the MAP Toolkit helps increase the agility and cost effectiveness of deploying the latest Microsoft technologies. MAP 9.2 helps organizations assess their environment readiness and migrations from on-premises to latest Azure Servers.

Windows 2008 Server Discovery

MAP 9.2 adds the discovery of Windows 2008 in addition to existing Legacy Windows Servers. The reports would also distinguish the OS architecture of these Servers.

New Performance Counters in Performance Metrics Reports

In this version of MAP we added four performance counters to the existing counters being collected in Performance Metrics Reports. This is to add the reporting of the CPU speed in the summary report.

Love it, But I'm having an issue editing my hardware library. If I try to add or modify the page blanks out and next gets grayed out. Older versions seemed to work just fine...

As per Jugganutz187 I am also unable to edit or create hardware configurations. It always gets stuck after clicking next on the CPU section of the configuration. Any assistance in getting this put right would be appreciated as I want to do some performance assessments.

Any update on the modifying Hardware Configuration bug in 9.2? or has anyone found a workaround?
I am trying to find a copy of 9.1 as reading other forums that version still works so if we can install 9.1 we can modify the Hardware Config and import the database from 9.2.
9.1 is no longer available on the MS site so any generous spirited person out there who still has a copy of 9.1 would they mind sharing it?

Hello. I´ ve not used specifically the previous versions beyond an overview. Currently I have a specific customer where I'm using the MAP Toolkit 9.2 with the Private Cloud Fast Track and cannot customize the hardware profile. As I was reading in several posts, it would be a bug. Do you guys have any guideline about this? Thanks

Team, apparently MAP should be used to allow the windows 10 upgrade in domain-based environments. I can't see any support for Windows 10 mentioned anywhere in 9.2. Is anything in the pipeline for this week? The release date of W10 is 29.07 and we have virtually no time left. There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of users (and their cursing IT administrators / consultants) in small companies with ~10 clients or less that want to go to W10 ASAP - they want to use the app, their machines and licensing are valid, but if you are in a domain or can see a domain controller (the existence of an SBS server on the network has been cited also as a source of W10 app de-activation) this whole plan of the app with its (apparently) background incremental load and then immediate upgrade possibility is suddenly a joke and just doesn't work. MS is getting it right with Azure - what about the rest of us? Soooo any comments regarding W10 support? Thanks.

I’m just curious if there is a upgrade to the toolkit planned that will add support for rolling out Win10 upgrades. The upgrades are only available for one year from the release date so the clock starts ticking in a few hours.
