How to add extra storage to SharePoint Online
A lot of Office 365 customers are asking how to purchase additional SharePoint Online storage.
This is done through the Office 365 Administration portal if you are an administrator who has purchasing priveleges:
- Navigate to the Manage subscriptions page - https://portal.microsoftonline.com/Commerce/Manage.aspx
- Click the subscription that you would like to add additional storage to (E3, Sharepoint Online, etc.)
- Click the "Add More" link next to the text stating how many licenses are currently purchased.
- Under the section labeled "Optional add-ons", you should see a field that allows you to enter the desired amount of storage to purchase.
- You do not have to add any additional licenses to add additional storage. You may leave the user license add more field empty.
- Click "Add licenses"
- Click "Place order"
After purchasing more storage, your Sharepoint quotas should reflect this.

You cannot change the resource quota for the tenant, only distribute it across the site collections in the tenant. Its a security measure against rogue code.Anonymous

That's all great news, but why is It so difficult to find out how much this is in any currency other than USD$? For instance how much is the additional storage in GBP£Anonymous

Is there a page somewhere that lists these prices? Need to get a quote to a client and I don't yet have a SharePoint Online account, so I can't really log in anywhere to do what's shown here. I'd like to find a webpage somewhere that shows how much additional storage costs.Anonymous

I am assuming by this you mean that by purchasing an additional USER license, you will thereby increase the amount of available storage. How about the RESOURCE limit; I seem to run out of that long before I run out of storage. Thanks.Anonymous

We have already purchased additional storage under our EA, but it did not automatically appear. The above is to purchase directly from the portal, what if you purchased under your EA?Anonymous
