Annual Microsoft Partner Event Delivers Technology, Revenue and Games to Los Angeles
Technology is big in Los Angeles and about to become bigger. With an estimated 15,000 international attendees flocking to the city in mid-July, Microsoft’s annual Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) is both the company’s largest annual event and the largest conference ever to be held in Los Angeles. The gathering kicks off on July 10, serving as an opportunity for the Microsoft partner community to network, build connections, share best practices, learn new skills and technologies, experience the latest product innovations, and learn about Microsoft’s roadmap for the upcoming year,
Los Angeles will see significant economic and reputational benefits as international attendees assemble in the city; LA INC. estimates that WPC will infuse local businesses with at least $45 million in additional revenue. Additionally, Microsoft partners will take an active role in helping make the community a better place through a sports-themed “Day of Giving,” where they will host booths featuring games and sports at a Los Angeles street fair. Children and their families who are beneficiaries of the Magic Johnson Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs and St. Jude Children’s Hospital are invited to attend the street fair to laugh and play games like Kinect on L.A. Live’s jumbotron.
