Which version of the AX2009 Demo VM am i using

I had a question last week about how to tell what version of the AX2009 Demo VMs you are using. The simple way is to start the VM and press RIGHT ALT+DEL. Just before you get the login screen you may or may not get a message.

If you are using the RTM version that was released in June 2008 then you won’t get a message. If you are using the Refresh 1 that includes SP1 then you will see this message :

So with that question the partner asked “So what was handed out at Convergence ?” There was a DVD handed out at Convergence that was the Microsoft Dynamics Demonstration Toolkit. This contains and application called VM express that will let you download the  VMs. In this tool you will see both versions of the AX2009 Demo VMs.
