Clippy Lives!

My boss just sent me this blog post from a friend of his.  The language is a bit rough, but I came close to spewing soda (pop for those of you in Piksburgh, coke for those of you in Atlanta) all over my monitor.

Edit: Hold on, the link's dead - trying to figure out what happened.

Edit2: I'm not going to pull this article (because I'd have to explain what happened), it was quite funny, but I've not heard back from Casey so...  Sorry for the false alarm :(

Edit3: Link's up again.  Thanks Casey :)

Edit4: Casey's Noel's friend :)

I just tried google's cache & wayback machine; apparently the article has been deleted. You wouldn't per chance have somewhere in your cache?

Sorry about that guys... I had a source control issue where I updated my weblog from two different machines without sync'ing, so it temporarily thought it should remove the article from my server. Should be up permanently now, same link.

You know, people often say Linux won't be ready for widespread desktop use until it is "intuitive" enough for a mother or grandmother to use w/o problems.

So it often makes me wonder if by that definition any os environment is ready for desktop use.

This short story that Larry links to is a great reminder of the dangers of trying to create software...
