Team Foundation Server Build, Unit Testing and Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Testers

It's now 3:04am, I have a working build but have been unable to get Team Foundation Server Build to recognize that I have unit tests associated with my project. While defining the build, the wizard properly identifies my .vsmdi file which contains the tests, but flat out refuses to list any of the tests contained therein and every so kindly disables the Next and Finish buttons.

A quick search on live.com (which, by the way has become really good) yielded this post, that reminded me the only way that Team Foundation Server Build will respect unit tests is to have them contained within Test Manager, which you only get with Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Testers.

Now its 3:10am and I need to go find my 180-day trial DVD of Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite and "upgrade" my real copy of Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Developers to to the trial edition of the suite. /sigh
