Internet Explorer 9 – Platfom Preview 3 available
After the first preview shown and made available at MIX 2010 in March, Internet Explorer 9 Platform Preview 3 is now available for download and testing. This is, as with the previous two versions, a preview build without any navigation functionality. It’s really made to let you test the rendering and performance.
Read the full post by the IE team: HTML5, Native- Third IE9 Platform Preview Available for Developers.
We encourage you to try out this build and participate by giving your feedback.
Lots new stuff, a few highlights:
- <canvas> tag support
- WOFF (Web Open Font Format) support
- <audio> and <video> tags now available (GPU-powered). To learn more about the HTML5 video support I recommend these blog posts from the IE team: HTML5 Video, Follow Up on HTML5 Video in IE9, and Another Follow-up on HTML5 Video in IE9
- Improved support for previously announced standards (HTML5, CSS3, DOM L2&L3, EcmaScript5)
- New demos live on IE9 Test Drive
Download, test your sites, give feedback and give the special Test Drive demos a spin!

Hi, I'm really glad to see the progress on IE9. Thanks to the IE Team. One question though: will it be possible to install on older system (eventhough they aren't supported anymore - Win2k/WinXP). Vast majority of IE6 users keep on using those older OS'es From what I've read, IE9 is only available on Vista and Win7 ... ie.microsoft.com/.../Default.htmlAnonymous

Hi Marin, Correct, I'm afraid the release notes mention support for Vista & Win7 only.
