PowerShell in the Windows SDK
Windows PowerShell was available in pre-releases of the Windows SDK, but is not included in the RTM version of the Windows Vista SDK. Now you can download Windows PowerShell 1.0 for Windows Vista or Windows PowerShell 1.0 for Vista X64 directly. Many world languages are available. The SDK still ships a good selection of PowerShell samples in the \Samples\SysMgmt\WindowsPowerShell directory.
Windows PowerShell command line shell uses a new admin-focused scripting language, over 130 standard command line tools, and consistent syntax and utilities, allowing IT Pros to more easily control system administration and accelerate automation.
More information on Windows PowerShell is available from the PowerShell Team Blog, PowerShell in the MSDN Library and the PowerShell Web site.

Now that the Vista PowerShell bits have shipped I would very much like to see PowerShell back in the SDK - or at the very least to have .ps versions off all the current .bat and .cmd build/tool environment scripts. As it is when I'm developing today on Vista with the SDK I open one of your cmd.exe based shells and the first thing I type is "powershell". That gets me there - but it would be nice to forgo this step.Anonymous
