LiveStation the “Killer App” for Silverlight, says Mashable
Livestation, from Microsoft Research, streams live TV over P2P using Silverlight to play the media on your computer. Check out the demo on Steve Clayton’s blog. Social Networking Blog Mashable reports that once this product moves out of the beta stage, Livestation could become the “killer app” for Silverlight, Microsoft’s Flash rival. The coolness of Livestation is that you can watch live TV anywhere you have an Internet connection to your PC. You get a great quality image with no buffering or stopping, through Silverlight technology. Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform plug-in for delivering.NET–based media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web that bloggers just can’t stop blogging about.
