iTunes Repair Tool for Vista 1.0

Apple’s warning to iTunes users  to wait for Apple to issue a patch before making the switch to Vista was not well received by some users. They’ve released the iTunes Repair Tool for Vista 1.0  to help those who are running into problems playing music and videos, synchronizing address book contacts and calendar dates, and once in awhile nasty corruption of connected iPods. I find it annoying that Apple’s painting this as Microsoft’s fault – they’ve had tons of time to work out the kinks (Vista was released to corporate customers in November), but then again, it took Microsoft's own Zune a few weeks to catch up to Vista. Tricky making all software compatible...

    Apple should have had this sorted. Other companies were able to get organised. Raxo being one of them. I believe their Perfect Disk (defrag tool) has just been certified Vista OK. 2-3 days after Vista was released! Though at the same time Zune not working is pretty short sighted of that group inside MS. Oh well, each in their own time I guess :) Bit unfair Apple dumping on MS too I think...

    It's almost as if they didn't actually think anyone would upgrade to Vista, so when the time came, they had to scramble. Vista has been RTM'd for almost 4 months now, they could have fixed this, or at least notified people beforehand that there might be problems, not waiting until the consumer launch.
