How to clean up your boot loader BCDedit
My co-worker Chris Avis just did a blog post about how to clean up your boot loader. In the West IT camps they are passing out a VHD file that people can use to test the new features of Private Cloud. It is easy to use bcdedit to add an option to boot to a vhd file.
But undoing this is another story. He has gotten several emails asking for help in cleaning this up, so he wrote this blog post: https://blogs.technet.com/b/chrisavis/archive/2012/03/20/it-campers-how-to-clean-up-your-boot-loader-entries-with-visualbcd.aspx
In this post he uses a 3rd party tool called Visual BCD Editor.
I know this will come in useful if you ever need to “Undo” some of the things you change with the boot record.
