ZBB for the Windows SDK February CTP

At 5:00 today, we're officially at ZBB for the February CTP. Zero Bug Bounce is big for us, because it means we can finally start slipstreaming towards release in about two weeks. (Unfortunately I'm not allowed to post our fomal go-live date.)

This is especially nice for me because we'll have many fixes in place for the most commonly reported setup issues, number one of which is that in all probability we'll have a web setup available for the SDK. Users will still be able to download an ISO, but now you'll have a quicker and easier alternative - something I'm really sensitized to after a user in Kenya reported it took him two weeks (!) to download the SDK.

We'll also have improved handling for external MSIs, and are rolling out the power of Microsoft Document Explorer 8 in a big way. The big bug that was resolved today was to allow Search to work correctly in DExplore - the setup dev had a tough time working through the problem, but the DExplore folks were great at helping us with it.

I can't wait for this build to be out and see what everyone thinks of it. Next we start moving towards Windows Vista Beta 2, a really significant milestone for us.
