I'm a little late getting this post out - like a year and a half late - but in case there is any doubt, I am retiring this blog.  Although I thoroughly enjoyed writing it, I just can't afford to invest the time needed to keep it up to the standards that I feel good about.  After over 200 posts, I was stunned recently to realize that this blog still gets enough traffic to rank in the top 1/3rd on MSDN.  Wow - thank you - I'm truly honored.  The archive will continue to live on, and I hope the people who visit find something useful in the dusty stacks of this blog.
