I went hiking with AZ again on saturday. My friend and coworker Raphael also came along. We targeted what looked like a really cool trail, part of the Pacific Crest Trail. Those of you unfamiliar with the PCT can think of it as the west coast version of the Appalachian Trail. We failed to consider it might be under 10 feet of snow still. We were only prepared for normal hiking, but we did not let that stop us.
AZ: “We don't know where we are, we are completely unprepared and we are in an avalanche zone. How bad can it be?”
JD: “Hmm...”
AZ: [checking his cell phone] “Yep, no service.”
Here are some of the pictures. We met some very nice snow-shoers out with their dogs and some very snobby snow-shoers who looked at us with contempt, due to our inferior footware.

They are 6MP originally, but AZ scalled them down. It takes a long time to upload 2GB worth of pictures. :)
