Forefront TMG Team,Not sure where to post this so I will do it here. Are you aware that there is an issue applying the KB2888049 hotfix from the October Microsoft updates on a TMG 2010 server? The symptom is loss of connectivity on the external adapter. Removing the KB2888049 update resolve the issue.I started a thread here (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/forefront/en-US/060e3534-2575-46c1-9412-7720fc33ac1e/tmg-2010-network-adapter-losing-connectivity-after-application-of-ms-updates-for-october-2013?forum=Forefrontedgegeneral) and others are reporting the same problem. No resolution from Microsoft in that forum. Is the Forefront TMG Team aware of the problem applying KB2888049 to a TMG 2010 server ?Anonymous

Thanks for the update. This isn't directly relevant, but would you be able to release a new version of the NIS signatures? The latest version is from 28-Nov-2012, so I get a warning message in the Application log every day telling me that the signature is more than 45 days old. (I assume that this also applies to everyone else running Forefront TMG.) Even if you don't change anything, re-releasing the same file every 45 days would get rid of that warning. This topic has come up in the Forefront forum, but I didn't get a reply there: social.technet.microsoft.com/.../nisAnonymous

Thanks guys. I'm still secretly hoping that one day you'll announce Forefront TMG 2014. Even though everyone is moving to the cloud and so on, you'd make me and some shops happy.Anonymous

MS Technology Summit heard that to be a new firewall / proxy from Microsoft. Maybe someone from the group to confirm or deny the product ??Anonymous

We have implemented Account Lockout Feature in TMG 2010 (www.ntsystems.it/.../ActiveSync-ForeFront-TMG-and-AccountLockoutThreshold.aspx). We configured alert definition to send alert when problem occure. After we installed rollup 4 we stopped receiving event about this probloem ("The limit of consecutive logon failures has been reached...."). How can we resolve this problem? We have implented a script which send this information automatically to user with problem. This is very important for us. Event description: Source: Microsoft Forefront TMG Web Event ID: 32581 Level: Error Text: limit for consecutive logon failures has been reached. Additional logon attempts by domain.localuser.name will be automatically rejected for the next 300 secondsAnonymous

Testing an implementation of Microsoft Remote Desktop Services to replace Citrix. As an organization affected by HIPAA regulations, we've been using Forefront TMG 2010 and previous versions of ISA for over a decade with great success. Absolutely disappointed that TMG is being discontinued as we have the need to maintain a reverse proxy solution that works with our current investments including OWA, Active Sync, Citrix and a potential switch to Microsoft RDS.Anonymous

I have exactly the same problem - the lack of notification of a blocked account from OWA publishing - after installing Rollup 4
I'm going to report this issue to the support MSAnonymous

The best replacement is F5 BIG-IP. It unfortunately costs significantly more than TMG did, but it does have a much better feature set.
