Answer: The Bank of Italy. It was started in San Francisco in 1904 by Amadeo Giannini, the son of Italian immigrants, who changed its name to Bank of America in 1928.

So, so true. The orginal owners in san francisco would turn in their graves if they saw how it is run today. The greed turns me off and I am a stock holder. This group from N. Carolina pretty much stole the name of a good and decent bank. - Anonymous
