TCG Player Releases Gaming News Web Slice

TCGplayer is the #1 on-line collectible gaming community. Recently they released an IE8 Web Slice in order to enhance their ability to offer their community the best in collectible gaming, from articles, gaming resources, community forums and more.

The TCG Player Web Slice provides a snapshot of the latest news in the collectible gaming community. You can add this Web Slice to your favorites bar by visiting the IE AddOn Gallery or visiting the TCG Player home page and clicking the green WebSlice button on the toolbar.

A Web Slice allows users to subscribe to a portion of a Web page. The Web Slice format consists of the minimum HTML annotations necessary to enable the publication and consumption of a mutable item on a Web page. Web publishers can use this format in conjunction with properties from hAtom Microformat to make portions of a Web page subscribe-able.

The benefit of a Web Slice is that it allows your users to stay connected to you even when they are not on your site. They are able to receive news and announcements from you via your RSS feed.
