Download the Beta!

I'm super excited to announce Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 Beta and Microsoft Office Forms Server 2007 Beta for browser-enabled forms, so you can install both of them today.

After registering you'll get to select which products you want, which should include:

  • Microsoft® Office Professional Plus 2007 (includes InfoPath)
  • Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server 2007 - Enterprise (includes Forms Services, which is also available standalone as Microsoft® Office Forms Server 2007. Both servers have 64-bit options.)

All are available in English, French, Spanish, German, and Japanese, so tell your friends!

If you're a regular Visual Studio code-junkie, then download the Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System (InfoPath 2007 update) , which is also included in the Visual Studio Tools for Office "v3" June Community Technology Preview.

Woohoo!

- Ned and the whole exuberant InfoPath team

I've installed the Office 2007 suite on Vista Feb CTP, but all apps fail to load:(  Word, Excel, IP, Outlook... all fail.

I finally got it to work after installing the latest Vista beta, build 5384.  The Feb build didn't work with office.

Question:  Is there a Compatability matrix anywhere for users of IP2003 opening an IP2007 form?

Lets say I publish a 2007 form to a sharepoint doc lib.  Will ip2003 users be able to open it?

If you need to write some Visual Basic or C# code behind your form, or maybe just some script, there...

Since I realize not everyone has installed the Beta yet (you can do it!), I figure it's time for a trick...

Does anybody know the approximate price for Microsoft Forms Server 2007?

Pricing is dependent on the number of servers, number of users, the type of licensing required (internal and external). Pricing will be provided for users, rather than per form. We don’t believe that per-form pricing is an appropriate model for electronic forms solutions, as it can be somewhat cost prohibitive.

Is there a demo for Info Path Form Server that can be used with WSS 3 Beta ?

The only way to integrate forms I could find says it also requires Visual Studio 2005 to be installed on the server.
    (see http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms778201.aspx)

So I find it a bit hard to actually test and create the forms.
Is there some other instructions available on the net?

Is there a standalone beta of Infopath Forms Server that can be installed on top of WSS 3 ?
