Rich Text Input Support for More Browsers

When we first released the Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool Beta, the Web version had full support (i.e. plain text as well as rich text input fields) for Microsoft Internet Explorer and partial support (i.e. plain text only) for Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome and Opera.

We have now added Rich Text Input support for Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome, thereby making them fully supported browsers. Opera is still partially supported, so that only plain text input fields can be transliterated in.

If you have already added the Web version of Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool to your browser, you should see the change with immediate effect the next time you invoke it on a webpage. You will find that all kinds of text input fields can now be transliterated in on the fully supported browsers. No reinstallation of the bookmarklets is required.

If, however, you do not see the change, clear your browser cache and try again.

If you haven't yet added the Web version of Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool to your browser, head over to http://msn.co.in/ilit and give it a try.

Thanks!

Rahul.
