Windows 8 – Installing the .NET Framework 3.5
If you’ve experienced this error message: “The following feature couldn’t be installed: .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
Then this is your solution (at the moment):
dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /Source:g:\sources\sxs
from an administrative CMD. “g” is the drive where you have your win8 installation files.

Great solution. Additional points: you will need elevated command prompt to run this command. There is a handy manual on creating one here: www.sevenforums.com/.../3718-elevated-command-prompt-shortcut.html Also, you will need to mount W8 iso. Luckily, windows 8 comes with mounting feature built-in (Magic disk was not compatible). Click on .iso in the windows explorer and choose "mount" under action.s The rest worked like a charm! many thanks!!Anonymous
