Welche Policies sind neu? (Third Edition)

In dem Post “Welche Policies sind neu? (Second Edition)” haben wir bereits ein neues Feature der GPS angekündigt, welche wir nun für Windows 8 und Windows Server 2012 upgedated haben.

Das dazu passende Userinterface ist derzeit noch abhängig vom verwendeten RSS Reader, da wir die Daten mittels RSS/XML übertragen. Dies werden wir in einem der künftigen major Release Updates anpassen (derzeit noch kein Zeitplan vorhanden).

Hier nun die Beschreibung der API/Parameter:

  1. Der Service wird über https://gpsearch.azurewebsites.net/gps/rss.ashx ausgeliefert
  2. Verfügbare Parameter:     
    1. supportedon=integer => zu welchem Produkt sollen die Policies angezeigt werden?
    2. strict=boolean => soll der Wert “supportedon” interpretiert werden als einzig für dieses Produkt (bzw. startend mit diesem Produkt) oder incl. älterer Policies?         
      Bsp.: supportedon=128&strict=true ergibt alle neuen Policies für IE8 (aka “Only Internet Explorer 8”)
    3. remove=integer => Entfernt aus der Ergebnisliste von “supportedon” alle Produkte, die zu dem Wert passen
  3. Verfügbare Werte:     
    1. boolean: true|false

    2. integer: dies ist ein binary Wert, der als Schalter für folgende Produkte dient:         
      1 Windows 2000

      4 Windows Vista/2008                                                                                 
      8 Windows 7/2008R2                                                                                   
      32 Internet Explorer 5/6                                                                              
      64 Internet Explorer 7

      Das bedeutet, dass die Werte kombiniert werden können, was allerdings nicht in jeder Zusammenstellung Sinn macht:          
      Bsp.: Internet Explorer 6 + Internet Explorer 7 => 32 + 64 = 96          
      => supportedon=128&remove=96 ergibt alle neuen Policies seit IE8          

    3. Ausserdem kann in den integer Wert noch folgendes hinzugenommen werden:         

      1. nur User Policies (HKCU) => 65536
      2. nur Machine Policies (HKLM) => 131072 genutzt werden.
