Casual Friday: Make your own holiday cards
You probably think of PowerPoint as simply a tool for presentations. But with its powerful layout and design capabilities, you could use it for a lot of different things - from wallpaper and Twitter backgrounds to holiday cards.
Even if you have no design sense, you can easily create custom cards from templates available from Office.com. In PowerPoint 2010, just go to the File tab, click New and select Cards under Office.com Templates:
From here, you can browse or refine your search with keywords:
Select the template you want. Before you customize it, go to File, Print, and click Printer Properties and then select the dimensions for the paper size that you'll be using (a nice glossy photographic paper will look nice):
Now make that card your own:
