About that "additional testing" notation in the KB article...

I just heard about some conspiracy theories floating around our recent memory leak fix.  Said theories revolve around the line: "Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing."

To be clear, the code as posted here is functionally, fully tested, as thoroughly beat upon as reasonably could be. The line above is boilerplate text included in every KB article because when fixes are aggregated into Service Packs, that aggregation has to be further tested (obviously) for interactions due to the integration itself. It is >not< as some have suggested, a sign that the fix is "half-baked", "not done", or in any way, shape or form less than 100% safe to put on your Tablet.

If you or anybody you know has suffered ill effects to your Tablet due to this hotfix, please Contact me.

I am really sad to see so many people make such a fuss over nothing. If you can't reboot your Tablet PC once a day, then maybe you should go see a movie or join a book club or something.

Sure, glad to see it fixed. But it wasn't crippling.
