Microsoft’s DST Home Page at https://www.microsoft.com/dst2007 has been updated to make it easier to filter out information you don’t need and help you focus on what you do need. The new “wizard” interface lets you pick your role and applicable products to give you targeted information and guidance. · In addition, there will be an update to the Data Update Tools for Outlook and Exchange coming soon. The update is based on customer feedback requesting additional functionality. If you are able to accomplish your tasks with the current tools, no changes are necessary. Here are some of the changes coming in the updated tool:

1. Ensuring that single instance items created after the date on which the operating system time zone updates were applied are not rebased

2. Rebasing calendar items and suppressing calendar updates

3. Rebasing resource mailboxes

4. Rebasing calendars items stored in public folders

5. Reporting the changes made by the Outlook Time Zone Data Update tool

Other Information on the Windows XP OS Patch

Microsoft released a new update for DST on Windows XP (see https://support.microsoft.com/kb/931836/) on February 17, 2007. This update supercedes the original update releases in November, 2006 (see https://support.microsoft.com/kb/928388).
