The Microsoft IT Audience Marketing team in the US BMO needs a highly motivated

The future of Microsoft is dependent on having IT staff in all market segments know how to plan, deploy, and manage our server platform solutions. Many existing IT professionals are not adequately educated and are not realizing the benefits of working with Microsoft technologies. Ultimately, this will impact future career and purchase decisions.

Also, many of tomorrow's IT Professional are currently attending colleges throughout the United States. Technology related course enrollments are down presenting a future IT Professional shortage. Oracle and My SQL are being used regularly in the classroom by faculty while Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server are used at best sporadically.

If you are passionate about personalized customer marketing and think these IT education problems must absolutely be addressed and would like to drive the development and execution of programs and offerings that will change the commercial and academic landscape this is the right job for you!

Your primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

1) Ownership and execution of customer relationship marketing strategies and campaigns that compel customers to pursue becoming Microsoft Certified Professionals.

2) Development of relationship marketing strategies and programs that will engage faculty in the Academic space and increase Server Platform awareness with college students. In addition, you will develop relationships with key influential from academic organizations and college faculty.

3) Drive individual and organizational IT skills assessments through the field, partners, and the web.

4) Manage agencies, vendors, and virtual teams to successfully execute campaigns utilizing various marketing levers including direct mail, email, online communications, newsletters, webcasts, telesales and in-person events. Ensure that the IT Pro Segmentation is implemented in all marketing communications and that customer follow up is timely, relevant, concise, and call to actions are more prescriptive in nature, resulting in higher engagement and reach.

5) Budget management and campaign measurement.

The successful candidate must be a strategic thinker and a self-starter with tenacity for driving execution and measuring results. In addition, the candidate must have strong relationship building and contract negotiation skills, must be comfortable speaking in front of both small and large audiences, and be able to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The candidate should also have a minimum of 10+ years of marketing experience including creation and execution of breadth marketing programs. There is a moderate travel requirement involved therefore ability to travel as needed is a must. Existing experience with education marketing or previous experience teaching or training is a plus.
