I made you...now I can take it all away

Trump fires sidekick Carolyn

As I type this, I look over my should to see if Bill Gates is coming to ask me the retail price of Office 2007 and to tell me that my "blogging fame" has gotten to my head (as if). Oh heck, that probably only works with sidekicks.

That picture is at once disturbing, jarring, and strangely arousing.

He's just the kind of guy you'd imagine meeting at Target and having nachos with. So romantic!

That picture looks like the next cover of an LL Bean or Lands End catalog gone bad!

Im glad Carolyn is gone. The show needs a major facelift. Maybe having his kids as his sidekicks will get the show the younger viewers it needs. Maybe Carolyn and Star Jones can co-host a talk show, or a reality show or even star in a sitcom.

Wine-Oh, CArolyn was one of the few things I liked about Donald. I can't watch his kids.

I gave up on the show a long time ago. With his kids now on it, I agree, its less watchable. Id rather watch a test pattern. Last years Martha fiasco was the final straw that broke the camels back with the apprentice. Are there any Microsoft tie in's to the show for the upcoming season or is that still under wraps?

That's a good question. I have no idea. If there is anything, I don't think we would know it until shortly before the segment airs. Even then, I am not sure I can muster the enthusiasm to tune in for another season.

It kind of reminds me of when I worked for a company run by a man who had installed his sons as senior leaders of the company. He'd promote one of them and then send out a broadcast voicemail announcing the promotion and gushing about how experienced his young son was and how well-deserved the promotion was, as if we all didn't notice that they had the same last name and were green for the roles they were in. He never gushed about any other promotions the same way. It was really discouraging.

I know it's Donald's company and he will do whatever he wants with it. But he can't make us pretend that we don't know his kids aren't really Carolyn caliber. I mean, they are assessing people that should basically be their peers, but without the benefit of Trump DNA. I guess I'd have more respect if the sidekicks got there the old fashioned way. I mean, even Bill Rancic had to earn it.

The Apprentice is dead to me now.  The Donald has made  a poor decision.
