Microsoft’s Server and Tools Marketing and Solutions Group will be visiting the Boston area in early May (2005) and we could be looking for you! We will be hosting a networking event out of our Waltham office, seeking talented product strategy and product marketing professionals. This is a great opportunity for you to meet the professionals that run these talented teams at Microsoft. You’ll hear, first hand, what it takes to succeed at Microsoft and, specifically, in our Server and Tools Business.

 

Our Server and Tools Business is the third largest of Microsoft’s P&Ls, with a projected $9B+ in annual revenue. Our hiring need reflects the rapid growth of our business in the marketplace. This organization is charged with integrated innovation of infrastructure, solutions platforms and tools; driving perception and adoption in the IT Pro and Developer audience segments; building and maintaining a healthy and robust partner ecosystems; and building, developing and retaining world class teams of talent. This is where you come in. Whether you are driving adoption of SQL Server, assessing competitive opportunities or creating new product roadmaps, you’ll be challenged by the scope of work by working among the best in the industry.

    Are international applicants welcome if they have the right profile, and some experience working with companies in Boston, but not based in the US at this time?

    Craig-the event is in Boston, but not the positions. I'm always willing to take resumes that match the profile and share them directly with the client group. I'll do that any day. ; )

    I jus realised (since this post brought me memories of the feb SVC event) that apart from the Superbowl tip - there were atleast 2 other hints from the blog that helped me.

    a. the fact that you can (and should) absolutely have different resume versions in MS recruiting DB when talking with different groups with differing (though related) needs.

    b. Collecting existing JDs and weaving the messages and taxonomies used into the resume for a more "obvious" fit.

    In fact I remember distinctly that you had posted JOBIDs for the positions being interviewed at SVC and I rewrote my resume to match those JDs....

    Are you going to post the IDs for this trip anytime soon?
