Getting to Know the Seattle Area

My co-worker, Shelly, sent out a list of websites to familiarize potential candidates with the Seattle area. I thought "hey, potential candidates read my blog!" Of course I added to the document because someone thought of including hiking but not shopping and completely forgot doggies...go figure! OK, now the document may be skewed a little toward my interests, but what can I do? Unfortunately, we don't know who authored the original document (it's one of those documents that's gotten passed down and around through the years), so apologies for not attributing much of this content to someone (but if you think you wrote it, let me know so I can give you your props).

Anyway, good links to info on the area...

    Heather,
My first trip to your BLOG. Timing could not be better! I am aiming to relocate from NJ to the Seattle area and all of the links provided will be of great assistance. I even have a dog! Oh, and kids too!

On first glance there are many areas of your BLOG that I intend to delve into in my effort to get out of what I'm doing and joing a group of passionate professionals on the other side of the continent.

Thanks for the links from us... Pacific Northwest Wannabe's.

    Hi Heather,

Great list of web links for the area.

I have listed below some additional sites which my family and I have used during our visits to Seattle area in the last year. The other recommendation I would include for out of state visitors are to get a good map of the area, mapping software, and use the online satellite mapping web sites like Virtual Earth.

    Official State Website
    http://access.wa.gov/home.aspx

    Seattle Aquarium
    http://www.seattleaquarium.org/

    Bellevue Square
    http://www.bellevuesquare.com/

    Redmond Town Center
    http://www.redmondtowncenter.com/controller/site

Homes and Land Real Estate Magazine (FREE & found in most grocery stores)
    http://www.homesandland.com/

Boeing Factory Tour in Everett http://www.boeing.com/companyoffices/aboutus/tours/index.html

    Best Regards,
