Update: Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 General Availability
Back on February 17th, I posted that Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 was available for TechNet and MSDN Subscribers. As I was doing some work on one of my home machines, I received the notification that I had some updates available (via Windows Update). I took a quick look and sure enough, Service Pack 1 was listed as an available Important update.
I did find it interesting that it was not selected by default as most Important updates usually are. I’m guessing this is intentional as not everyone may want to immediately install this on their computers since it may take a little time (download speeds come into play as well as processor and disk speeds). The good thing is that SP1 does show up so people will get notified and then have the option to select it.
For those of you who would like to download the full standalone SP1 installable files, you can always go here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/gg635126.aspx?ITPID=wtcfeed. The ISO file (which contains everything) is about 2 GB in size. If you only care about the x64 or x86 bits, they are 903 MB and 538 MB respectively.
I encourage everyone to start testing and installing SP1 sooner versus later on their Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 machines.

Carlitajo, I doubt installing SP1 will fix the printing problem. You will need to figure out the root cause of your print spooler problem. HaroldAnonymous
