Community Megaphone Updated
Just rolled out some updates to the Community Megaphone events site. Enhancements include:
- Added support for events in all U.S. states
- Several bug fixes
- Added About page with FAQs
- Updated navigation to provide better access to most frequently-used pages
- Added new custom pushpin for event maps:
Have you used Community Megaphone? If not, take a look. If you have, I'd love to get your feedback. What works? What doesn't? How can I make it better and/or more useful?

One feature that I think would make this site a lot more useful would be a configurable RSS feed. It would be nice if I could subscribe to the following URL: http://www.communitymegaphone.com/mcc/Rss.aspx?zip=95405&maxmiles=30 That way I could instantly be made aware of any events that are within what I consider to be an acceptable radius of my house. (People in places like SF would be more likely to have a lower threshold for distance than people that live in the sticks like me ;-) Regards, PatAnonymous

@Pat Gannon: I like that idea. I do already provide a filterable RSS feed, just not quite with the level of granularity you're looking for. If you filter the events table on the main page by state or event type, a link appears to an RSS feed with the selected filters. Search/Feeds by zip code is definitely something that's on my feature list, though.
