Forefront Server Protection TechNet Library content refresh

Hi, my name is Suzanne and I am a technical writer in the Forefront Server Protection Information Experience (iX) group here in Hauppauge, New York. I want to tell you about the recent updates we made in our TechNet Library.

For Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server (FPE), a new planning and architecture section, Maximizing scan engine performance, has been added. FPE provides you with the ability to employ multiple scan engines to detect and perform actions upon malware in your Microsoft Exchange environment. This article tells you how you can maximize engine performance by customizing the number of scan engines used for each scan, as well as using a redistribution server for engine and definition updates. We also made several updates to legacy product documentation to address bugs, including updating the Forefront Server Security Management Console system requirements (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb974254.aspx) and the steps for uninstalling Antigen in a clustered environment. We also updated the Antigen product guides to reflect the discontinuation of the SpamCure engine in Antigen 9. Documentation has been revised to remove mention of the SpamCure engine, and was updated with applicable procedures for using the Cloudmark antispam engine instead. These updates affected several user guides, release notes, and best practices guides for our Exchange and SMTP Gateways products.
