What does innovation mean to you?
During Remix, I asked Nick Hodge to capture some comments from the attendees regarding innovation.
He did such a good job, I thought I should share the results. See if you spot any themes
So, what does innovation mean to you??

Ok I will buy into this... Every person talked about 3 things... Hardware, Software and Computing Environment... the concensus being that a small step into something that impressed people enough to adopt it... For me, innovation has degrees... and is proved by initiating some kind of paradigm. Some of the greatest innovations are not yet proved, but when they are they will really rock our world... Something I would find innovative would be an application which maps the system architecture employed on a computer when you turn it on, and builds it into a tree view showing the system application names and the dependencies, and a brief explaination of the purpose. Why would this be innovative? A friend who is technically challenged... ie can barely find the on switch, brought his computer to me complaining he had just bought it and it was running so slowly... When I finally got it booted up to put in his login, and found he had no password, I found he was running 4 separate freeware antivirus on top of the trial nortons, and had still managed to get some serious spyware operating on his system because the 13 messages he got every time one was detected just confused him more... In stead of that lovely inviting background and the pretty revolving circle, if we had seen a tree view of the drivers loading, he would have understood he had oversubscribed to antivirus and had a bunch of stuff accessing the internet that he really did not want there... now thats innovative, and simple...
