The Girls are taking over Tech.Ed?
More data surfing. On Friday, I looked at the Names of Tech.Ed 2007
I had a few comments for the top female names.
Here's something even be interesting.
The number of Ms, Mrs and Miss has slowly increased over the past 3 years.
Title/Salutation | 2007 | 2006 | 2005 |
Mr | 90.0% | 89.4% | 93.2% |
Ms | 5.0% | 4.4% | 3.8% |
Mrs | 2.5% | 3.2% | 1.5% |
Miss | 2.0% | 2.3% | 1.0% |
Dr | 0.5% | 0.7% | 0.5% |
Could it be the influence of our 3 guest editors on TechTalkBlogs?

There must be a lag in that trend hitting NZ...but then again, the number of women in actual development here seems to have dropped if anything over the years (along with the status of developers).Anonymous

Nice sentiment, but I think your math is a little off.. 2006: Ms, Mrs, Miss = (4.4 + 3.2 + 2.3) = 9.9% 2007: Ms, Mrs, Miss = (5.0 + 2.5 + 2.0) = 9.5%Anonymous

You could always try hiring a female host (someone who gives introductions to the people about to talk) to mix it up a bit, or give the guys something to look at. ;)
