Taking Care of Business

I've been back in the office since Monday this week, and to be honest I have been flat out.

This time of the year, we go through a process with our staff where we review their progress and work with them on their career aspirations.

As a manager, who is responsible for 13 direct reports, this can take a fair bit of time, if I am to do it properly.

So there hasn't been much time for much else. My blogging has been spasmodic. My feed reading has been non-existent. When I get home at night, I really don't have much energy to do much else than listen to my kids stories, have something to eat and put the kids to bed. I am sure the jet-lag has something to do with this.

Anyways, I am looking back at the effort for the week, and my score card now looks like this - 11 done and 2 to go!
