Poor Frank

I've been feeling ill the past few days, and put it down to catching some bug from my kids.

I went to my local doctor today, fearing a recurrance of my previous illness.

He poked, probed and prodded, and tried to work out what it could be.

It could be appendicitis - and I am meant to go the US this weekend.

    ouch !  Appendicitis doesn't sound much better then the other one :( Good luck. Chances are they can fix it once they identify it :)

    That's not good.  So did you do the jump over a pen on the floor and see if you double over in pain test?

    Many of you probably saw last week my manager/friend/mentor Frank went into the hospital for an appendicitis

    We just got an update on Frank; operation went well -sorta good.  Meaning he came through the operation just fine, but the appendix was healthy and the doctors don't know what is wrong with him!   In either case he is at the SANS hospital and if you want to drop him a note you can at: http://www.sah.org.au/patient.email.asp.

    Wish it had been the appendix.  I had mine out just a few months back, and all in all, it wasn't too bad.  Since they had cut you open anyway, it seems like taking it out would have been a viable approach :) When it happened, I ended up hearing stories of people where the appendix got inflamed, but actually didn't keep going an burst, but instead it went back to normal.  However, it sounds more like your problem isn't appendix-related at all. Whatever it ends up being, good luck!  Hope you feel better soon!
