John Udell joins Microsoft

The blogosphere was ablaze over the weekend, much like Victoria, with the news that Infoworld journalist Jon Udell was joining Jeff Sanquist's team in Redmond. Even Mr John Montgomery weighed in, so we knew this was big big news.

But for us in the antipodes, what do we make of this news?

It got me thinking - who is the Australian John Udell? ----- Mark Jones ? Paul Montgomery ? Phil Sim ?

Does such a person exist?

Does it matter?

Any suggestions??  Especially since I am also looking for someone with a passion for technology and also a desire to change the world ?

    None of the three you mention are very Udellish, though arguably I'd be closest. Stan Beer would possibly be more accurate, since he has his own IT news site. Maybe the five guys at Hydrapinion form a meta-Udell when considered together.

    Paul I just posted some names to be contentious I saw you recent post, about this and I agree with your conclusions - there really isnt someone that qualifies. perhaps an opportunity presents itself ??
