You cannot print or print preview Web pages in Internet Explorer on Windows Vista or on Windows 7

INTRODUCTION

When you try to print a Web page in Internet Explorer 7 or in Internet Explorer 8 on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows 7, the Print dialog box disappears, and nothing is printed.

Additionally, if you print preview a Web page, the Print Preview page may be blank except for the page number in the header and a file path and date in the footer. The file path resembles the following:

File://C:Users<username>AppDataLocalTempLowRU4GX5A5.htm

    I have the same problem but I'm using WIN XP PRO SP3 with IE8. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I have noticed, this FixIt 50676 and 50677 won't launch on IE9 environment. This is an OS issue.(So it's not related IE version.) (When the user had a disk cleanup with tick the temp folder, the folder which is mentioning this KB973479  will be removed.) And 50676 and 50677 must be integrated. In most case, partial launch is useless. Most user doesn't see detailed fixit number like 50676 or 50677. (As a result, they launch one, then issue remains.)

    I have confirmed this method (Re-creating folder and set IL) on IE9 also. So this FixIt should be OK. This FixIt is very nice solution for non-professional user, so please allow to launch an IE9 installed user. Thanks,
