Microsoft Fix it Solution to Enable MAPI forms in Outlook is Live!

  Error messages when you create a new MAPI form or you try to open custom forms in Outlook 2003

We just released another Fix it Knowledge Base (KB) article. This Fix it addresses the following scenario:

The following symptoms may occur in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003.
Symptom 1
When you try to create a new MAPI form in Outlook 2003, you receive the following error message:

contact the administrator

Symptom 2
When you try to open a custom form from a published location such as Organizational Form Library, you receive the following error message:

The form you selected could not be displayed. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator.

Symptom 3
When you try to open a received custom form e-mail item, you receive the following error message:

The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator.

This Fix it modifies the Windows registry as described in KB 938816.

• Add a key to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Forms to EnableMapiForms.

  i cannot go and open any document microsoft office proffesional edition 2003 please help or install the same regards, ashok parmar.
