Hello Good People... I am having difficulties with IE7 & a contaminated IE8. I downloaded IE7, installed and had no problems until I downloaded IE8 and tried to install. Both downloads were from MS download. When this didn't work, I purchased an IE7 CD and tried to install. This didn't work either. Now, I am having issues w/IE. When I pull up Internet Properties, the last tab, Advanced, there is no information in the window. When I click "Restore Advanced Settings", my system just shuts down. Also, my HP Jetscan 3790 does not work. When I addressed this with HP Service Tech, I am told there is an issue w/IE7 and,or IE8 that needs to be resolved before my scanner can work. I just want to either repair IE7 or completely remove IE7 and IE8 from my system then re-install IE7 from my CD. Thoughts...? Thanks dougAnonymous

Hi all, I regret downloading explorer 8 as I can no longer open sites that were important to me. I uninstalled 8 but then found my problems were simply magnified and had to reinstall it. I had no problems until I installed this white elephant. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Anonymous

Dowbloaded and installed this disaster piece of software. Had multiple, unsolvable problems after installing. Removed and reinstalled IE7; still did not solve the problems. Finally, all my service setting got set to disabled, mysteriously. Had to use my wife's identical computer to try to recover services settings. The next day my system crashed and will not boot up at all. THANKS MICROSOFT AND IE 8.0. What a piece of trash!Anonymous

When I do a "Windows Update" and I try to install the latest version of IE8 I get the following error message "Fail to initialize because windows is shutting down". Why is Windows shutting down before it installs IE8? Thank YOuAnonymous
