PROJECT SERVER. THE EXPECTED VERSION OF THE PRODUCT WAS NOT FOUND ON THE SYSTEM.

Hola, buenas

En el post de hoy queríamos haceros llegar la manera de solventar el problema que nos aparece cuando intentamos actualizar nuestros servidores, ya sean de Project Server 2007 o Project Server 2010, y nos aparece el siguiente mensaje:

"The expected version of the product was not found on the system."

lo que debemos hacer es invocar el ejecutable en cuestión, que estemos intentado instalar, desde línea de comandos, con la siguiente sintaxis al final: PACKAGE.BYPASS.DETECTION.CHECK=1

Un ejemplo sería el siguiente:

"office-kb2596986-fullfile-x86-glb.exe PACKAGE.BYPASS.DETECTION.CHECK=1"

  Hi...everyone,when i installing sp2 for office2010 for 64bit giving msgthere is no product affected by this package installed on this system 2010 anyone can find solution?? plz let me know regards

  I TRIED YOUR WAY. IT DID LET ME EXTRACTED. AFTER EXTRACTING. IT JUST SAID INSTALL COMPLETE. I DON'T SEE ANY SERVICE PACK/LANGUAGE PACK INSTALLED ON MY PC. PLEASE ADVISE.
