Microsoft Technical Communities Program (MSTC)

The new Microsoft Technical Communities Program is targeting Community Leaders with the goal
to foster the career growth and job skills of their members.

Community leaders can connect with their peers easily to
share best practices, content and opportunities through the MSTC Wiki and Forum
environment. With the launch of this new program it is now very easy to find
and connect with the ideal speakers for events run by community leaders.

The program also entails a variety of offers and promotions
that make it easier for the community members to get up to speed on the latest
Microsoft technologies. Members of the new MSTC will have the option to choose
from extended trial versions, skills-based training, special discounts, and
more.

Also, the UGSS Event funding limit allocation of $1000 no
longer applies. Funds can be requested for events on predefined topics focusing
on Microsoft technologies. At launch Community leaders can request funding for
the following topics (and new ones will be added constantly over the course of
the year):

- Windows 8

Windows Azure
  • SQL

Another great help to guarantee a successful Community event
is the content Microsoft makes available via MSTC in the form of TechTrax and
DevTrax sessions. These are train-the-trainer sessions where Microsoft’s top
technical experts detail the best ways to deliver content for topics focusing
on Microsoft technologies like Windows Server, Windows Azure, Windows 8 and
others. This content library will be extended over time.

Make sure to sign up now if you are a Community Leader.

from this new program.

To members of the Microsoft UGSS Program: The
MSTC is an evolution of UGSS (“Usergroup Support Services”). Please note that
your old UGSS account will not be migrated to the new Microsoft Technical
Communities Program. So make sure to register at www.technicalcommunity.com to
continue to receive great benefits from Microsoft.
