Dynamic Distribution Groups
Dynamic distribution groups (DDGs) are a great way to manage groups in Live@edu, especially ones where the recipient list might change frequently or unpredictably. For example, you might want an “All Pupils” distribution group that sends a mail to every pupil in the school, but what about pupils who have left, or ones who have joined?
Or how about when you want to send a message out to a very large number of people, say over 50,000? A DDG counts as one message, so you can break down that number into smaller chunks and nest the DDGs inside a normal static distribution group.
Optimal Performance
Over at Outlook Live Answers we’ve just published some new guidance about the best way to configure dynamic distribution groups for optimal performance, including how to make use of the new multi-value custom attributes.
