If your install is failing as mine was, try running the install from an administrative cmd prompt, msiexec /p "C:UAG-KB2744025-v4.0.3123.10000-ENU.msp" /L*V

I installed UAG sp3. It went fine and windows 8 works now. Still i have a problem with Windows Phone 7.8/8 -devices. This is the error message that i get: Your device does not meet access policy requirements for this site. I didn't find any solution for this...

If installing on a UAG server running DirectAccess please note that the update sets the "Microsoft Forefront UAG DNS64 Service" back to manual and thus doesn't start after a reboot. This has been an issues on pretty much all UAG updates. Why oh why can't this get fixed? Seems this update should support Windows 8 clients for DirectAccess as there is an issue listed in the release notes:

  • Windows 8 DirectAccess clients cannot use one-time password authentication using RADIUS

Thanks for the great work. Windows 8/Server 2012 can now also login to the portal and use the SSTP VPN feature. Also tested Exchange and SharePoint 2013...works as expected. Thanks! Only thing not working within this release is Server 2012 Remote Desktop Services and remoteApps. Is this correct?

File Access no longer works and gives 500 Error for ALL versions of IE.  In other browsers File Access still works. It may have gone 'depreciated' but right now it appears to be completely broken in this release and not mentioned.  In the deprecated list SharePoint is listed as an alternative, but there's no webpart to access users Home Paths and shared folders.  We and many other use File Access because it links to AD and its basic features, it is useless storing separate data in another server.   Please fix File Access for IE, it was a great major feature that's preferred over Windows8 support.  A headache will come when Windows7 gets IE10.

File Access broke for me as well (page cannot be displayed). When attempting to view the configuration (Admin > FileAccess), when selecting "Domains", "Servers" or "Shares" I recieve a script error in the right hand pane. Seems like an error with the asp files. I rolled back to SP2 and it works again. Was File Access properly tested in SP3?

File Acces broke 4 us 2. Only in IE is doens't work anymore. View configuration in console also ends  up with script erros. Please fix it....... yesterday :-) I don't want 2 roll back to sp2 because of the rdp 8.0 support.

Our SSTP VPN is no longer working after updating to SP3.  We get "Connection Ended" shortly after launching the VPN from the portal.  I don't see anything in the logged in the Event Log that would suggest something is wrong. Tried re-applying the certificate, tried recreating the portal link, no luck so far.

After installing SP3 we can't open rdp from the right hand side window. It's no problems at the left hand side window.

I just used the 'Email Blog Author' button to suggest a 'howto' guide for publishing Outlook Anywhere to Exchange 2013 through UAG 2010 SP3, but the email bounced - 'user unknown'!  Has anyone else noticed that there's not much documentation for UAG 2010 / Exchange 2013 available at the moment?

After installing SP3, is the remote desktop capability only available for Windows 8, not Windows RT? When I try connecting with my Windows RT tablet, I only got the mobile portal which does not show remote desktop.
