Management Reporter 2012 CU11 - Hotfix 2 Now Available

An optional hotfix rollup is now available for Management Reporter 2012 CU11. We are trying something new for this release, and will be releasing a hotfix every few weeks with the bugs we have completed fixing in that timeframe. You can take the hotfix release if there is a bug impacting you, or you can wait until there is a cumulative update available, just like previous releases. We think that this approach will help to get fixes in the hands of customers faster and will be beneficial to everyone.

This hotfix can be used as an upgrade from a previous release of Management Reporter, upgrade from CU11 Hotfix 1, or as a new full installation. The hotfix will require you to upgrade both the Management Reporter and the data mart database.

Note: There is a known issue in this release that will cause generator and designer users to lose access to companies. This issue will be addressed shortly in HF3.

Hotfix 2 may have re-broken the first hotfix issue and bug: 3278977 - Generator and Designer users do not have access to any companies After installing the latest hotfix, we are experiencing this same issue where company access is not being saved unless the user is an admin.  It appears the only option at this point is to uninstall and go back to HF1 or wait a few weeks for the latest HF to be released. Have any others reported similar issues?

Thanks Ryan.  Everything is on 2.1.11002.5, we upgraded from CU10, and not sorting the security columns when making changes didn't seem to address the issue.  Security seemingly drops every 5 minutes or so, so something running the background is dropping the security.  We tried deactivating the 'CompanyProvider to Company' scheduling task which appeared to resolve the issue but then journal entries stopped coming through.   update scheduling.[trigger] set isenabled = 0 where id in (select triggerid from scheduling.task where name = 'CompanyProvider to Company') Going to roll back the application to CU10 until further notice.

We have some users in MR where we can change the Security role but others cannot be changed. We have not been able to figure out what is the difference between these users. Is there a built-in function that would allow us to change the roles for users in MR without changing anything in AX? Thank you.

I installed Hotfix 3 and the server still shows - 2.1.11002.5. However, the client displays 2.1.11002.11. Is this correct? Thanks.

Can we upgrade from MR2012 CU6 to MR2012 CU11 directly in an AX2009 SP1 RU3 environment? If not, what versions of MR are supported with this mentioned version of AX?

We installed hotfix 3 as well and see the same issue as Kevin and Shady pointed out. Server shows 2.1.11002.5 version Client shows 2.1.11002.11 version (designer and viewer) is this supposed to be correct and expected or all should say .11? is there a way to also roll back to hotfix 2?

Thank you Alex. I will try that, it would have been better if this information was actually published to set the right expectations from Microsoft after installing this update :)
